Welcome to my online portfolio!
I’m Mario Salinas, a Peruvian graphic designer who lives in Chula Vista, California. I am passionate about what I do. I am an innovative, detailed-oriented, and goal-driven graphic designer with a deep understanding of marketing. I have a knack for creative problem-solving that I bring to every challenge I face. I combine this talent with level-headed practicality that my clients can rely on. I enjoy working on my clients’ design projects and thrive on seeking unique solutions to meet their different needs and challenges. As a graphic designer, I’m always looking for graphic solutions that communicate my clients’ messages in a creative and straightforward manner with their audience in mind.
In 2010, I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design from Virginia Commonwealth University. To further my career, I went on to grad school where I obtained a Master of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in Marketing from San Diego State University in 2020.
My experience includes working with a mix of small businesses and established companies in several industries. While I have always worked as a freelance graphic designer for a diverse set of clients, I’ve also worked as an in-house graphic designer for a health insurance agency and I currently work at a marketing agency where I have overseen graphic design projects for dozens of clients in the financial industry. These projects have included traditional design, such as firm brochures and custom stationery, and digital design, such as websites and emails.
